Window Light Portraits

Self Portrait

Again, I wanted to challenge myself. I hadn't used the self timer and the multiple photo settings. For this picture above, I set the camera to wait 10 seconds, and then take five photos with three seconds in between. So I added a second photo to kind of show this process. For editing, I basically just wanted to push the warmth on these photos and tweak the contrast.

Story

This is my mothers puppy Story. She is my mom's pride and joy. Unfortunately a huge thunderstorm went overhead during this shoot so its very dark. I tried to challenge my editing skills to edit more light in, but make it look natural.

Rheanna

These three photos above are of my niece Rheanna. She is my little sidekick. It was an incredible pleasure to watch her grow up. These photos are in two different locations. The top location was east facing, so the sun was way over to the west, which left us with a darker looking photo. The bottom two are in buildings with west facing windows, so we got more sunlight. It was good practice to make sure I didn't end up with overexposed photos. For editing, I mainly focused on brightening the top photo and pushed the contrasts and shadows in the lower two. I warmed the bottom two photos as well.

Telsa

Telsa is my childhood friend. She is one of the most photogenic people I have ever met, so taking her photo was easy on her end. During this photo the sun was setting but still bright so again, good practice to play with the ISO and aperture. In editing this photo all I did was push the contrast and warm the image.
